SPRUCE UP YOUR PLACE WITH WESTLAKE ACE HARDWARE

*This blog post was created in partnership with Westlake Ace Hardware, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Recently, I moved apartments and wanted to really spruce up the place to make it feel homey and full of color. I’ve been a DIY gal since my mom handed me a glue gun at 5 years old, so my apartment is full of fun projects I found on Pinterest. I’ve been a painter for years and knew this collab with Westlake Ace Hardware was perfect for me! They have everything you could possible need for painting ANYTHING. Plus they have Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines paint, so naturally that’s the paint I chose. She offers over 150 different hand selected timeless colors at a affordable prices. Her colors are gorgeous and so on brand with my style.

You’re probably wondering how the heck did you come up with this idea to put plants in a cinderblock!? Well, I went to a conference not too long ago in LA and on the rooftop of where the conference was hosted, they had gorgeous plants inside of cinderblocks. I thought, “WOW how cute are these?! They would be so cool if they were painted and had succulents inside!” I’m a succulent gal, because I truly can’t keep anything else alive. 😂I knew I wanted two different blues to create a gorgeous tribal print on the cinderblock pot to really bring out the greens of the succulents.

Westlake Ace Hardware has a vast amount of options when it comes to plants. I decided to purchase these succulents because they had all different textures. Additionally, I decided to purchase plain tan pots and paint them too to bring a little more of an unleveled look to the cinderblock pot!

How do you feel about DIY projects? What is your next DIY project that you need to go to Westlake Ace Hardware for supplies?

Love Always,
