EASY HEART SHAPED RICE KRISPIE TREAT RECIPE

In my mind Valentine’s Day brings lots and lots of treats! So I’ve decided to make a bunch of beautiful treats you can make with your significant other, family, children, or make on your own and bring to work or parties! Baking is one of my favorite ways to relax and de-stress but then I’m calling all my friends over to eat everything! haha! Can you relate?

EASY HEART SHAPED RICE KRISPIE TREAT RECIPE

I think my favorite part about these chocolate heart rice krispie treats are that they are BEAUTIFUL!!! I mean you see one of these and you’re like “oh my gosh are these from a bakery?!” No they are not! BONUS: they’re so freaking easy to make and will surely turn heads at the office Valentine party or your Galentine’s day get together!

I loved adding in some of my favorite heart sprinkles into the actual rice krispie treat. When you stir in the rice krispie cereal slowly add in the sprinkles too so they spread across the entire thing. You don’t want random areas with a lot of sprinkles and some bare.

You may not think you need to do this but LET EVERYTHING COOL! I tried putting in a cookie cutter 2 minutes after placing the rice krispies into the dish and it was sticky and not easy to get out + won’t hold it’s shape. Letting everything cool for about 15 minutes helps significantly. If you’re not a huge chocolate person you can actually just be done here and not dip them!

EASY HEART RICE KRISPIE TREAT RECIPE

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
  2. Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal & sprinkles if desired. Stir until well coated.
  3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool for about 15 minutes. Use heart cookie cutters to cut into hearts.
  4. Melt each melting chocolate flavor into separate bowls. Dip half of the hearts into the chocolate and set on wax paper to dry.
  5. Add sprinkles or drizzle additional chocolate on top.

I was able to find all the ingredients at Target! These are the melting chocolates I used and they were amazing. I’ve used a couple different brands and Ghirardelli is my favorite! Along with the cookie cutters and tea towels displayed in the back. Target always has the best stuff for affordable prices. Oh and definitely check out the dollar section because I get some of the most amazing things there like cake stands for $5 and even a tiered treat stand for $5!
